Today I took Emmanuel to the Santa Barbara Zoo! The first thing we saw was the Asian Otters. They were sooo cute especially when they were sleeping. Next we saw the giraffes and lions that were also really cool. The baby lion was playing with his ball! Then we saw the elephants. They were one of my favorites. One even walked up really close to us! Emmanuel wasn’t as amazed as I was. After that we saw the penguins! Emmanuel’s favorite part was going down stairs and looking at them under water. Gibbon Island was my second favorite exhibit because we got to talk to the gibbon specialist who raised one of the monkeys. Next we went to see the gorillas, which was my favorite exhibit by far. We went up and down from the outside viewing deck and the inside viewing deck about 15 times because the gorillas were running back and fourth. When we were inside the old gorilla came right up next to the glass and just sat there cleaning his ears! After that we went to the theater area and rolled down the hill liked I used to when I was a little kid. Last but not least we went to the gift shop and got souvenirs and cotton candy!
